Stingrays @ Harrington Falls | Meet #3 Details for Thursday
Hi Stingray Families!
We're headed to Harrington Falls this Thursday (tomorrow) for our third meet of the season, and we're bringing the red, white, and blue! πΊπΈ This week's theme is USA, so break out your patriotic gear and let's show Harrington Falls what Inverness spirit looks like. Please take a few minutes to review the information below so you're prepared for a smooth and successful evening.
Meet Information Harrington Falls | 12950 Harrington Drive, Alpharetta, GA 30009
Schedule
- 4:15 PM β Harrington Falls Warm-Ups
- 4:45 PM β Inverness Warm-Ups
- 5:15 PM β Referee & Timer Meeting
- 5:30 PM β Meet Begins
When you arrive: Please take a moment to introduce yourself and your swimmer(s) to their bullpen volunteer. Bullpen volunteers work hard to keep dozens of swimmers organized and moving to their events on time, and a quick introduction helps them learn names and faces. This is especially helpful for our 6U and 7/8 age groups. Parents, please also help us keep track of your swimmers between events and encourage them to check in regularly with their bullpen volunteer. Together we can make sure everyone gets where they need to be and doesn't miss a race!
Parking & Arrival
Parking will be limited, so please allow extra time for arrival. Harrington Falls has asked that all visiting families help maintain safe traffic flow and be respectful of their neighbors by following these guidelines:
- Parking on Harrington Drive is permitted on the left side only (the side closest to the tennis courts).
- All vehicles must be parked facing toward the neighborhood exit.
- Please do not park on both sides of the street so emergency vehicles and neighborhood traffic can pass safely.
- Use the end of Harrington Drive or nearby cul-de-sacs to turn around rather than residents' driveways.
- Be mindful of private property throughout the neighborhood.
- Respect any cones or markers placed near driveways to help keep access clear for homeowners.
Bullpens
Our team's bullpen area will be located on the grassy area next to the clubhouse. Families are welcome to bring chairs.
Dive Starts (this is different than other meets!)
Please note that dive starts are not permitted at this pool. All swimmers must start in the water. The pool depth is 3.5 feet at both ends and 5 feet in the middle.
Timing
Our meet will be run using the TimeDrops timing system, which allows for accurate, real-time results throughout the evening. Timers, please be sure to follow all instructions from the Timer Captain at the 5:15 PM meeting.
Concessions
Harrington Falls will have a full concessions stand available offering hamburgers, veggie burgers, hot dogs, drinks, and snacks. They accept Venmo and cash.
Volunteers Still Needed
Thank you to everyone who has already volunteered this season! Home and away meets require a tremendous amount of support, and we couldn't do it without you.
As a reminder, each family is asked to complete five volunteer slots throughout the season. If your swimmer is participating in Thursday's meet and you still have volunteer opportunities remaining, we'd greatly appreciate your help filling one of the openings below:
- 1 Spot β 6 & Under Boys Bullpen
- 1 Spot β 7/8 Boys Bullpen (First Half)
- 1 Spot β 9/10 Girls Bullpen (First Half)
- 1 Spot β 9/10 Boys Bullpen (Second Half)
- 1 Spot β Timer (First Half)
Bullpen volunteers play a huge role in keeping our youngest Stingrays organized, on time, and having fun throughout the meet!
Weather
In the event of inclement weather, ASA weather policies will be followed. If delays occur, families should return to their vehicles, as clubhouse space is limited. Please do not leave the meet until an official decision has been communicated by meet officials.
We can't wait to see everyone tomorrow night dressed in their USA best as the Stingrays take on Harrington Falls! πΊπΈ
Go Stingrays!
